The Malaysian Alliance of Hope, known in Malay as Pakatan Harapan (PH), is a major political coalition in Malaysia, formed in 2015 as a successor to the Pakatan Rakyat coalition that dissolved earlier that year. It was established to challenge the then-ruling coalition, Barisan Nasional (BN), which had governed Malaysia since its independence in 1957.
