For me, the Catholic Church should have no say at all in regards to political matters since it violates the separation of religion and state. Also, have clerics expelled and blacklisted if they try to involve themselves in the political process.

No, because the government is hold by the Islamic beliefs (syariah) but if it's state laws in major catholic state like Sabah then they have the right to have a say about marriage and education.
